Om Parvat is a sacred mountain known for its unique rock formation that naturally resembles the Hindu symbol Om. It sits at an altitude of 5,590 meters and is a significant stop on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Its name is derived from the “Om” symbol, which represents three states of consciousness: heaven, Earth, and the atmosphere.
Aadi Kailash, also known as Chota Kailash, is another holy peak located nearby, standing at an altitude of approximately 5,945 meters. It is considered the earthly abode of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati and is part of the Pancha Kailash—five sacred peaks believed to be the homes of Lord Shiva. The pilgrimage to Aadi Kailash often includes visits to other holy sites in the region.

Itinerary
The trip begins with a journey from Kathgodam to Pithoragarh. This is the first leg of the travel, taking you into the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand.
You'll travel from Pithoragarh to either Gunji or Nabi village, passing through Dharchula on the way. These villages serve as a base for the upcoming treks.
This day is dedicated to a round trip from Gunji/Nabi to the Nabidhang Camp. This camp is significant as it is near Om Parvat, a mountain that bears a resemblance to the Hindu symbol Om.
The day involves a trek from Gunji/Nabi to Jolingkong and back. Jolingkong is the location of the sacred Aadi Kailash (also known as Chota Kailash) and Parvati Sarovar.
After the treks, the journey continues with a trip from Gunji/Nabi to Chaukori, a small village famous for its tea gardens and scenic views of the Himalayas.
The final day involves traveling from Chaukori back to Kathgodam, with a stop at Patal Bhuvaneshwar. Patal Bhuvaneshwar is a limestone cave temple complex, making it a final point of interest before the journey concludes.
